If you ask a kid what it is that he wants, he usually knows. I wanted to draw in Toby’s sketch book, so I asked permission. He kinda looked at me like, “Are you serious? It’s my sketch book for my drawings.” I pleaded with him and told him that I would draw anything he wanted. Toby agreed.
“Draw a bear, that’s part alligator and part shark”
“Sure,” said I. “What should he be doing?”
“Swimming”
“Of course!” I said as I tried to figure out how in the world I was going to do this AND impress the kid with my cleverness and artistry. “I’ll put him in an inflatable kiddie pool,” I told myself confidently.
Thank you Toby for a page in your very awesome sketch book!
