Tonight was a night of selfish pleasure. Yes, I spent the entire night working on my self portrait. I’m morphing the ugly hulkish cartoon portrait into an ugly hulkish portrait with more of a realistic appearance. I decided to refer to an actual photo of myself for the shading and highlight references. I’m still using an image from my iPhone. I love how abstract it looks when I’m zoomed in on just a small area and painting from that little spot.
