Yesterday I visited the Melvin Art Gallery and Fine Arts Dept at Florida Southern College.

I went there to see the Senior Graphic Design Thesis Exhibition. Each of the 10 artists made these cool kiosk type spaces, branding their own invented company. Wine, watches, beer and underwear. Overall it was a really polished example of design work. Some well thought out ideas, images and ephemera. Any of these artists could have their own store at the mall. Be sure to check out Nate Garrido’s “The Package” when you visit. Probably my favorite of them all.

Then I went outside and walked around the campus.  It was a perfect day (by Florida’s standards) and plenty of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture to enjoy.

Inspired, I went back to the studio and painted for hours.
