I’m teaching a Wednesday night class on the Gospel of Mark: The Red Letters. The focus of the study is the words of Jesus. As I prepared to introduce the author of the Gospel of Mark, I began to suspect that he was an artist. He had plenty of paper, pens, ink, RED INK!! Think about it. Could Mark be an artist?

This is my Reindeer Map that I created the first time I taught a class on Paul’s journeys through the Mediterranean Sea. The map looks like a reindeer, so it’s easy to remember and the kids seem to enjoy it, especially the red tongue that represents the Red Sea and his red nose that makes him look like a reindeer. I like how Crete and Cyprus make it’s eyes.
