It Was All In A Daydream I Had

By Lavalamp and Five Extra Arms

When I was a little boy
I think I was about the age of nine
Living in the backwoods, but everything was fine
Looking at the sky and waiting for a sign

The only thing I ever saw was the moon and the sun the clouds in my mind
Inside, making shapes in another time
Looking ahead, but kept on falling behind

It was all in a daydream I had

Up and away, just beginning the day
I see all the people just moping around
With their heads to the ground
They’re afraid to make a sound

When I was an older boy
I think I was about the age of ten
I could not think of the right words then
I could be wrong, but I am quite certain
That the daydream I had was really the end

It was all in a daydream I had

Daydream I had…
